The first set of laws we will discuss are the family laws which I think are just. In document c law 149 states “If a married lady is caught [in adultery] with another man, they shall bind them and cast them into the water.” This law means if the woman is caught in adultery she would be tied up and thrown to drown in the water. In document d law 21 states “ If a man has broken through the wall [to rob] a house, they shall put him to death and pierce him, or hang him in the hole in the wall which he has made. “ This law means if someone were to break into someone's house they would have a sharp pole and put the person on the pole and hang them in the hole they made in the person's house. I think this law is just because the man trying to break into the house deserved to die because he knew what he was getting himself into. The last set of laws we will talk about here is the personal laws which i think are just also. In document e law 218 it states “If a surgeon has operated with a bronze lancet on a free man for serious injury, and has caused his death, … his hands shall be cut off.” This law means if a surgeon does surgery on a free man and he dies the operator's hands would be cut off. I think this law is just because the surgeon should not be able to work if does not know how to do his job he should not have
