Family, a word that holds more than just one meaning in our society. While many people believe that family are the people that are biologically related to you such as your mother or father who share the same household, this is not necessarily true. For instance, in cases such as adoption, the people taking care of the individual might not necessarily be considered biological family, however they care for the individual as if they were his real family. Family is a word that should be more attributed towards the people that actually care for you and your well-being, whether it be step-families, close friends, or even pets. The people that are willing to stick up for you no matter how bad of a person you might look in front of someone else’s eyes. True family are the people who will give you more than a second chance and fight for you every step of the way. More importantly, the people that you consider family won’t give up on you and actually make you feel loved and cared for. Some people have a hard time distinguishing who their real family is. As stated by the Britannica encyclopedia a family is "A group of persons united by the ties of marriage, blood, or adoption, constituting a single household and interacting with each other in their respective social positions, usually those of spouses, parents, children, and siblings" (Britannica encyclopedia). While this definition may be true in some aspects, it does not mention any of the qualities that a family should posses such…
