My Definition Of Family Essay: My Family

Family, a word that is known by many, but understood by few. As defined by Merriam-Webster it is a group of individuals living under one roof, a group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation, and a group of persons of common ancestry. Some may agree that family is love, happiness, and friendship; while others may say it is anger, pain, and damaged. Family isn’t always blood related but they consist of the people in your life who need you in their lives and who are willing to do anything to see you smile and who will always love you unconditionally. God means faith, savior, love, and inspiration. Moreover, my determination is strong because of the many sacrifices that God and my mother made. My mother is my family because she always supported me and taught me values that I use every day. My mother is a single parent and she always taught me keep that the most powerful tools in life are your love for God, your education, and to learn from the choices that she made. She also reminds me to live a better life than she and my grandmother had so that I do not have to be reliant on others financially. My mother is the light at the end of the tunnel my motivation for attending college and for becoming a doctor so that I can take care of her like she has done for my siblings and me. My brother and sister mean everything to me they are the ones that I can be comical with it’s never a dull moment when we are together. They are the people that I build memories with. I continue to persevere to show them the importance of hard work and determination in achieving your dreams. Family that is blended can include the biological mother or father, the step-parent, and the children of either both or one of the parents. A foster family is a family that cares for children, teenagers, or young adults whose parents are not able to care for them. A foster family provides a safe haven in the form of love and a home. However, this isn’t always the case for those who endure harsh punishment in this type of situation they are in search of the family that they never had. An adopted family is one that adopts a child whose biological parents were not able to care for them and provide them with the love and support of a family that they have been longing for. The love of a family is one of the greatest blessings in
