Actress Cameron Diaz said “They are our storytellers-Our elderly are meant to be those who share the secrets of wisdom and knowledge and life with our youth.” Tom Craig from Marjorie P. Lee the retirement home was my classmates and I storyteller on the 1st of October 2015. On this day, Mr.Craig allowed us to interview him about life in general back in his young ages and also to interview him about his personal life. As a wise man, he gave the young group of students some wise advice that concerns life and also wise advice that concerns school and careers.Tom Craig is an 89 year old man that is from the Bronx, New York, who now lives in a retirement home located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born on the 2nd of May 1926, .Mr.Craig was from a financially stable family that was able to provide for everyone. Though his mother did not work at first, she later found a job which was a part-time job. On the other hand, his father always had a job that was a service civil job. Mr.Craig and his family experienced the times of The Great Depression. During these times, him and his family received weekly income from the government. Therefore, his family was pretty stable compared to the other families. As a kid , he grew up in a happy home and peaceful family that owned a dog. Mr.Craig enjoyed doing activities such as bonding with his family while riding in the sidecars of his dad’s motorcycle, to go fishing, and to have picnics with his sister and mom.

During his high school career, he attended school on the afternoon schedule. Wanting to join the Navy, Mr.Craig dropped out of high school at the age of 16 though to be qualified to join the Navy, it was a requirement to be 17 years old. “ I forced my parents to sign the papers” he said.
