When parents are the initial teachers children ever encounter, that can make or break how they view education as a whole. The more closed off parents are from their children and the less they communicate with their adolescents, the more likely their children are to have a negative connotation toward school and education. Furthermore, if parents in both Australia and U.S. experience similar outcomes when using authoritative parenting styles, it can be said that warmer parenting is correlated with higher grades and other academic achievements. Contrary to what I believe there are those adolescents who achieve more in spite of having experienced negative parenting techniques.
