In Fahrenheit 451, love and feelings have all been pushed into peoples minds, such as ads and commercials. For Example, the commercial "Denhams Dentifrice" is the breaking point, the climax of the story, when Montag realizes what is truly happening. Montag realizes that the government is just trying to make the people think that they are well, and going by all of the rules, they are doing what is put into their heads. Montag wants to be able to think for himself for once, to do what he wants. Next, everything in the Fahrenheit 451 society is fake, its made by the government, not by the people. The people get no say in what they want to do, they just live by the rules and obey. Men go to work, while the women take care of the house, the relationship between the two is not usually very strong either. Books are not allowed because the totalitarian government does not want one person to have more knowledge than others. Last, the government does not care for the people or for their knowledge.
