Family health promotion is defined as endeavors that families undertake to make the family unit stronger, as well as increase unity and quality of family life (Kaakinen, Coehlo, Steele, Tabacco, & Hansen, 2015). For this discussion post, I will choose a nursing intervention to promote family health for a certain family. I will describe the major points of the intervention selected. I will identify and describe a family I know who might benefit from the nursing intervention. I will explain why this family needs to develop this health promotion practice, as well as how I would go about intervening with this family to help them with health promotion activities.
