Family Feuds Throughout history there have been several feuding families, the Hatfield’s and the McCoy’s, the Manning’s and the Brady’s, and of course the Capulet’s and the Montague’s from William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Throughout the play the Montague’s and the Capulet’s are fighting, with no clear answer to why. The best answer is a series of poor, irrational decisions. There is no way to find out the exact reason, but whatever it is, it would have something to do poor decision making on both sides. All it takes for conflicting families to not take it to the point of a feud, is to stop and think. If two families are conflicting then it would be very easy for one side to stop and think about what they said, and why
