Born into royalty, to the now deceased, Old King Hamlet I of Denmark and Queen Gertrude. Family was structured, with the occasional child care of Nanny Jane. The patient’s parents are busy in royal matters and are the leaders of Denmark. Their responsibilities are extensive. The patient became extremely close with his father at a young age, but never quite developed a relationship with his mother. He studied law and philosophy in college and continues his brilliance. He has made a good fortune on his own, to add to his eventual inheritance. He became close with a friend named Horatio rather quickly in adulthood and sees him as a wise and loyal friend. Hamlet has become more distant with his childhood friends and keeps a close inner circle. Hamlets family is hardly present now that his father has passed away. His main goal for the future is to become King and expand his empire. Hamlet has been training for this moment all of his life. The patient tends to be very organized and picky and often times is seen counting his fingers according to Polonius. Hamlet is always rearranging his silverware during meals and doesn’t engage in much conversation beyond his usually group of people.
Previous illnesses & treatment:
Hamlet has been diagnosed with several diseases. He suffers from a form of Obsessive Compulsive disorder, Asthma, Diabete, and Cold Induced Urticaria (allergy to cold air and water). Hamlet had pneumonia as a child which almost killed him. Hamlet is rather normal beyond this, except the fact that he has only 9 toes. The treatments for the diseases are allergy medications such as herbal tea and honey. He does this to keep up a reputation, not for enjoyment. Hamlet is the standard drinker and will have one or two alcoholic beverages a night. However, when Hamlet decides that he will have a lot of alcohol, he does not stop. Often times he will end up piss drunk according to Ophelia. Rather than being an upset and raging drunk, he is an overly friendly version of himself.
