Throughout history men of a higher status would obtain a coat of arms. The coat of arms would symbolize the virtues of a particular family or individual. During the 1400-1500’s, the coat of arms was a symbol that was extremely important to those of gentle birth and was sometimes used to bring recognition to an individual as a gentleman. My family coat of arms represents the virtues and values that I believe my family portrays. Around my coat of arms is a silver chain encompassing it, the chain represents the union of family and despite the fact that we immigrated from Ecuador and have had to face a variety of strenuous obstacles we have persevered. Years ago, my father was diagnosed with Leukemia, he lost his job and my mother was working …show more content…
The symbol of the open book represents learning and knowledge, I have always tried to be an open minded person that is open to new ideas and information. I enjoy any information that can help enrich my educational experience or help cultivate my interpersonal skills and discover new subjects. Now, if you look to your right, you will see a bare arm, it represents hard work and effort. My family and I have always been hard workers, we like to give 110% in everything we do. Opportunities in life are optional, but we seize and take advantage of any opportunity that comes our way and make the most out of it. I have a fearless attitude towards opportunities, new experiences, and life itself. I'm always wanting to do better. I fight my way through every obstacle. Many people have turned down optional opportunities because they are afraid of being rejected. I'm afraid of that too, but I never let those fears of striking out keep me from playing the game. If I fail or get rejected I get back up and try harder. The coat of arms also contains a dove which symbolizes peace. My family and I have always been extremely humble and peaceful, we try to avoid any confrontations that might lead to contempt or disgust.
