The character who changed a lot in the book is a boy named Reese. He started out as a boy who didn't like to hang out with his family. Then at the end of the book Bad Island he started to enjoy being with his family. I think one of the purposes the author wrote this book is to show kids that doing activities with your family or being around your family is not so bad, it's actually good.
