There are more favorable habitats that the Boids prefer to live in; tropical forests and deserts. Very cold areas that contain tundra, ice caps, even the tops of mountains are unfavorable areas for any species of snake due to being so cold and this becomes a struggle due to regulation of the optimum body temperature. Tropical forests seem to create the greatest diversity of snakes. Temperature is not too big of an issue in these habitats due to tropical regions maintaining a constant higher temperature year round.
