Fallout 3 Business Analysis

Improved Essays
For my topic of choice I wanted to bring up video games, but not just any old game, games made by Bethesda, in this case, I will only be talking about some of their big name titles to stay relevant. A company who knows their target audience for games, Bethesda 's ad’s for games are magnificent at generating hype. I for one, enjoy their ad 's for many great titles and I believe the way they make ads are perfect and sell every time. But what games were successes and why start with the big start, Fallout 3. Fallout 3 was a game created for all platforms, PC, Xbox and PlayStation. The story takes place in a world where the style stuck in the 50’s era, but technology grows more advanced where you are a survivor of a massive world nuclear war and …show more content…
To make the comparison fair, ill compare titles from the same year and use profit and rating to judge the better ad campaign. First let’s start with Activision’s 2015 release, Call of Duty Black Ops III. With a score of 9.2 out of 10 given by IGN, a reliable source of information and game ranking, this game was flying off shelves on its release date and was given lots of praise to its updated mechanics, and of course, it’s multiplayer and zombies modes. Even it’s story arc was a lot better and a lot more interesting than any other previous release making this its best-reviewed game in a while. As for profit margin the company had made more than $550 million in profit alone after its first three days of release which is amazing as it only took three days to make worldwide sales of $550 million which are almost half its best-selling profit of 1.23 billion. On the other hand, we have Bethesda with Fallout 4 which was a longer awaited game. Coming in with an astounding 9.5 out of 10 on IGN, this title was made for its consumer as critics and fans all raved about it during the coming days of its release and had made $750 million in only the first 24 hours of its release. The fact that a game could make $750 million in …show more content…
In conclusion, Bethesda is a company that is very successful in its marketing and ads for the games they develop and are effective at making series

Individuals were trying to create a business for themselves in the town by divulging in the idea of a “self-made” man (Man, Lecture Sept. 3). Each individual store and business played a pivotal role in providing for the town. The image wanted to capture the essence of the town and it showed people that the town could provide for people’s needs. I think by showing that Dodge City had ammunition and firearm stores, it shows people that they could protect themselves, because during 1875 many people carried guns with them. Stores like the drugstore and grocery store let travelers, particularly men, know that they could bring their families because there were provisions in the town that can be provided for them (Front Street businesses, Dodge…

The biggest compensation and benefits issue at Lowe’s stems from the fact that North Carolina is an ‘Employment at will’ state. That means Lowe’s can terminate an employee without notice, for any reason, or for no reason. The only requirement is that the termination should not violate federal or state laws (Guerin, 2015). The company is not required to offer severance payments to terminated or laid off employees or assist them in finding alternative employment. Since its release in 2004, the Nintendo DS has sold 154.01 million units. Among the different iterations of the Nintendo DS, like the Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL and Nintendo 2DS, the Nintendo DS is currently the best selling handheld console, and the second best selling video game console of all time. Yet despite its high sales figures, ten years after the release of the Nintendo DS to the wider mainstream market, little research has been done about the effects of the Nintendo DS’s technology on the experience of video game players, much less about the role of the Nintendo DS in the American society. Video games as objects of study, are not new. There have been various histories and anthologies that have covered the development of the video game industry from its humble beginnings until today.…

With my xbox I have made memories and friendships that will last life a life time. Although some believe things in life are either good or bad, it can be seen through Xbox that things are both good and bad, but it’s the proportion between good and bad that matters, this can be seen through new games, finishing games, and new systems that proves that a disproportionate amount of good versus bad creates good memories. With the Xbox there were many games that I have played that have taken me on hundreds of adventures.…
