This is my story of when it first started, if you’re reading this; I don’t know I might be dead or this journal just got lost like most things. But if you find this, I hope you’re well, I hope you’re still fighting, and most of all I hope you can still run…..
The diner closed the door after its last customer, I flipped the sign on the door to close while locking the door. “Done, finally”, I said letting out a deep sigh. My feet were killing me but I still had to clean up before I could go home. Mich, the cook was in the back cleaning the kitchen, singing out loud badly at that. I let out a laugh, “Mich, you’re killing my ears, stopppp”, joking with him.
“Yea right, you love my singing girl”, he said winking at me.
Shaking my head, I chuckled

Lena was the diner’s cashier, a pretty girl with long brunette auburn colour hair, light brown eyes and deep tanned skin, she was a lot taller than me standing a full 6 inches taller than my 5’3 frame. She dropped out of college after her first semester, never did ask her why but I suspect it was something she wanted to forget but she ended up right back in this horrible neighbourhood. I was determined to get her back into another college and out of this place.
We lived in the city of Waylee, a city much like New York, our neighbourhood was to the west of Waylee, a poor neighbourhood filled of people just trying to live and get by and some people who were just a danger to those people and made living here like hell. Old diner, yes that was the actually name of the place was on splendid street, think of where you came from, that busy street of businesses, graffiti, street gangs, the homeless begging for spare change and ordinary people living day to day.
