Fall Out Boy Analysis

Decent Essays
This song best represents me because it is all about enjoying your life to the fullest and just being plain crazy. This song tells people that we can make a change to the world if we just tried and stopped fretting about all the world's problems and try to solve them. If we all pitch in a try to help people, there would be no hate in the world and violence because we are helping everyone and being kind to one another like God wants us to. If we just got off of our T.V.s and computers and go out and enjoy to world then we would try to make the world clean again. This is what Young Volcanoes all about. The song Young Volcanoes, by the band Fall Out Boy is all about trying to get children to enjoy their lives and not be cooped up inside

I believe that the relation people can make to this line is because of the issues our nation has with terrorism. Many Americans have experienced the hate and pain from terrorism, so much, that they would prefer not to experience again. Not to mention this song was written just a couple of years after September 11, 2001. The logos in this phrase is that we are trying to stop terrorism in our nation and the world, but that we will never be able to. There will always be terrorism in our country.…

This song remined me of a point in my life where I felt that my girlfriend at the time seemed to be drifting away from me. Bit by bit she started neglecting me and really letting me know that she truly had lost the love she had for me! That is why this song is so important because although the whole point of the song is about letting go of a love for a woman that is gone and the relationship ended. There is special verses that caught my attention such as, “me ire sin marcha atras porque seria fatal” which translates to I will go away without a return because it would be fatal. This I really for a strange reason got a strong connection with this because time in and out me and my girlfriend had arguments in the past but when we broke up I knew that I was best to just not try and keep going with a hurting relationship like we had!…

The fact that their chart-topping-album, American Idiot, had a cacophonous mixture of power chords with a pinch of the Buzzcockian spark, along with a sprinkle of The Descendants’ penetrating rhythm sealed Green Day with a global stamp of approval. Between Billie Joe Armstrong’s adenoidal scowl, and Mike Dirnt’s muscular guitar, Green Day seemed like a Saturday-morning-cartoon version of Freaks and Geeks – four cheeky monkeys fiercely grasping their heart-shaped grenades to blast the Bush administration, pleading potential protesters to dash to Camp David. Like a stack of Pringles, their hammering hits fit faultlessly as one to blitz their target. When a trail-blazer like American Idiot sells a gazillion copies, we can be assured the band…

Nine Inch Nails is a band founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor in Cleveland, Ohio. Reznor is the only official member of the band, and most of the time he is responsible for everything from songwriting and composing to directing; the rest of the band was changing rather frequently and was mainly used in live performances. In almost 30 years of successful career, NIN recorded eight full-length albums, won two Grammies and was nominated for induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice (2014 and 2015). Although NIN is widely recognized as an industrial rock act, Reznor experimented in a variety of different genres ranging from synth-pop (early works) to ambient and electronic (latest works). The live performances usually feature heavy light shows…

I appreciate a pretty wide variety of films. I wouldn't call myself an indie junkie, but I like creativity that gets me to think or be aware in a new way and indie can certainly do that. Of course, sometimes aspects of a film will evade me (what was X about? what did Y mean?) and then I seek out others--and IMDb--to fill in the gaps.…

The song portrays a range of social problems the people have to grapple with as day go by. The song speaks to the inner city streets of the American society regarding the social injustices leveled against the minority communities especially the African Americans. The white man controls most of the majority hence perpetuating racial segregation right from the media, the prisons to the social environments. This has made people to choose a life of drug dealing and easy money as well as abusing the welfare system because they have no other alternative in a society that does not provide them with a motivation to change.…

This song talks about the speaker who is abused by her boyfriend but she stands by him because she loves him. This is similar to when we find out that Mayella was abused by her father but still loves him because well, it’s her father. They both show unhealthy relationships and how bad things can be at home. The mood in both of this song and the book is desperate. They are both desperate for love and will do anything to stay by their family/man.…
