I don’t claim to be any great world force that will change how humans as a species view life, but I do think that someone with that potential exists, and I have faith that it will happen. Maybe not in my lifetime and maybe not for many generations to come, but it will. It only takes one person to rise above the rest and decide that the way we live is not good enough. This is an attitude that can be observed every day in the world around us. In fact, if these people did not exist, we would live in a stagnant quagmire of a

I went through my life as a good example as how my faith helped me believe in the church all though most members of the church didn't believe in me. If you were not allowed to have holy order by law,why did you still want to receive it? Well my father left me at young age with only my younger sister and mother living in poverty, I spent countless hours daily praying and I knew god wanted me to become a priest. I then took action and and took any opportunity to help others and do my calling.…

There are many things I am grateful for in my life, but I am most grateful to have the freedom of religion. In many other countries across the world there are a multitude of people being tormented and killed for their beliefs. My worldview closely resembles the Biblical Worldview described in the Charry text, but by no means is anywhere near where it could be. My Christian character will continue to develop and mature throughout my life as I continue to study the scriptures, commune with God in prayer, continually ask for repentance, and forgiving those who have showed transgressions toward me. L. Gregory Jones states, “Christian living requires a willingness to inquire after the God of Jesus Christ, an inquiry which shapes us a people of repentance and forgiveness” (Charry, 2000, p. 204). Repentance and forgiveness are two aspects of the Christian walk that I struggle with. There are many times that I get so busy with life that I forget to prayerfully repent…

Tasked with crafting a personal moral philosophy, I ultimately started with one question to energize my efforts and frame the problem: what is a moral philosophy? Moral philosophy as defined by Merriam Webster dictionary is the study of human conduct and values. Conduct and values are words that I can easily identify with and thus the metacognition phase began. It is often naturally assumed that everyone can rattle off in a sentence or two, a philosophy that guides them however, I struggled with coalescing defined and abstract ideas into a coherent set of principals that represent the values, that have been shaped, modified, or changed by my life experiences. I have been conditioned, much like many organizational leaders to have an appreciation for acronyms.…

Kali, Just took a look at your paper, everything looked fine. Very well written, nothing grammatically stood out to me. Everything flowed well, and the construction seemed well thought out. The only thing I would recommend is, look over the paper and make sure that the points you are making line up with the way they are said. That meaning if you are talking about Christianity, make sure you put the emphasis on what it has done for you, not what you can do for the faith.…

The first time I had an extended experience with religion was during my first year of high school. Many of the students at Trinity were different than I was. They had gone to Catholic schools their entire life and had grown up with religion, which was not a lifestyle I was used to. As a child, a specific religion was never instilled upon me. Of course, the concept of morality and other teachings typically associated with religion, such as humility, were fundamental lessons in my household.…

On August 26, 2005, I gave my life to Christ, and it was the start of a whole new chapter of my journey. I still remember that night vividly in my head. The feelings of excitement, joy, and love were very tangible in my heart. My mom and dad were both sitting beside me on my bed while I was told the importance of this decision and how my life would never be the same. Even at 5 years old, I was aware of my decision to follow Jesus and accept him into my heart.…
