She is a person of faith for many reasons. My mother is a firm believer in God. She is an Easter Orthodox Christian, publicly. She is always telling me that God is working out everything for me. It is evident for me that she is person of faith, because she trusts God. Her life did not always treat her well at times. After she got divorced from my father, life tested her, financially and mentally. She did not have custody of her kids. We went from seeing each other every day, to almost every other weekend. My brother’s life and I felt the change. No longer was there a person around that took us to church, that talked to us about prayer, or told us that God is with us. When I am around her, I can feel pureness because I know she lives by love. She did absolutely everything for her kids and valued generosity. I’ve asked her why she did all these things for her children. Her response was out of love. I learn about faith through her because she is a person of faith. I have seen first hand what it means to love someone unconditionally. I have witnessed struggle and pain in a person that only does good. I questioned why this happens for someone who has done nothing but good for me, and her family. When I asked her, she told me because God has a plan for her.
