Faith, for those who don’t know is, by definition, a strong belief in God or in the doctrines of religion, based more on spiritual apprehension rather than proof. Faith is how you trust and believe in God; faith is usually what one wishes or hopes for, whether that be a miracle to save an ill-ridden child or whether it’s just wishing for a new car. If you put faith in God, he may not grant all your wishes and dreams but he will fall down from heaven to show you that you don’t require those things such as a new materialistic items. Faith helps those in need through hard times by giving them something to believe in, by giving them hope that there will be a better future, and by giving those a safe haven. It is better to put faith in God rather than one 's self and that is evident by Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”. In the book The Shack by William Young, it showed what it meant to believe or hope in something and that it may not come true til you put God in your heart along with faith. The main character in the book, Mack, lost his young daughter and although he had no hope to save her, he hoped everyday that her body be found and that her killer be put in jail and his mind be put to rest. As he prayed and hoped that God would help find his daughter’s killer, God did just that, just as Mack believed he would but it only happened when Mack trusted God enough to give him a sign to help him with his time in need. To relate to a bible verse, you can look at Mathew 22: “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer”. God came to Mack and showed him the way to his daughter, as well as how and why to follow him through life and as God did that, that relates to the bible and the verse Psalms 32:8, as it reads:“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon
