Miracles From Heaven Analysis

Faith, complete trust or confidence in someone or something. In Anne Bradstreet's piece “Here Follows Some Verses upon the Burning of Our House, July 10, 1666” and Patricia Riggen movie “Miracles from Heaven” represent faith. In 1666, Bradstreet house was in flame. Bradstreet wrote about all the details and her beliefs about the house burning. Bradstreet believed in God to help herself and her burning house. Riggen filmed a family and the daughter of the family getting sick. Riggen expressed her faith through characters believing in God to give them a miracle to help their sick child. Both of these pieces relate because they have faith and shows that they put trust into God. Faith can be compared and expressed in a pop culture movie and a literature writing. In this movie there is a family with a sick daughter they do everything to try and help their kid, but nothing is working. Later in the movie the daughter is playing on a tree, falling into the tree the daughter magically heals and gets better. Some would say this is a miracle from God. And the family believed in Him and miracles, “Miracles are God. And God is forgiveness” (Miracles). This states that the family was hurt by God by giving their child an illness but when this miracle happened they knew to forgive God and trust God to forgive them. Riggen put actions in the movie that explains the family believing in God to help their sick child. Family trusting God, “Miracles are God’s way or letting us know He’s here” (Miracles). The family knew that God was there with them while the daughter was sick. The family put all of their trust in to God to help with their sick kid and He sent them a miracle.
