First of all, I wanna thank all the guys who strive so hard to keep the spark of chivalry alive. Even if there are times that you are seen as pervert, flirt, etc. Please keep living with that code because there are only few of you living with that. I also want to comend the author of the article for he continue to live the life of a chivalrous man even if there are times that he was being misunderstood.
Second, In behalf of all women who misunderstood the good acts of chivalrous man, I wanna say sorry. Fairytales today (e.g. Brave, Mulan and Frozen) shows women as a catycalist of change and not as damsel in distress anymore. Maybe being labeled as damsel in distress doesn’t sound good to women today. Maybe because of that there are some ladies who reject

Dare to do right 10. Live for God and love his Church. Chivalry is not just about men being good to women, so chivalry indeed is not just advantageous for women but also for all people in general. Guys who follow this code should not be only good to women but to everyone else and they should live a life with dignity and honor.
Fourth, I think that feminism in its truest sense did not kill chivalry. What feminists want back then was equality between men and women. What they want back then are rights that would allow women to be educated, to be able to work, to vote, etc. I don’t think feminists back then, want to bury chivalrous act. Come on, who would want guys to become indifferent to people who needs help?
Fifth, I think that it is possible that chivalry and feminism to co-exist. I think that women now achieved what the feminists want back then. Now women could go to school, work and vote and I don’t think those rights can hinder men to do good. Sixth, although I believe that feminism and chivalry can co-exist. I think that it can create double standards to men. For example, In a date lots of ladies still expect a man to pay the bill even if she is economically-independent and can pay her own

There is nothing wrong with being a strong, independent woman. There is also nothing wrong with being a feminist. Women fighting to be recognized as independent or as a feminist are not wrong. Being smart, kind, considerate, are just natural, humane qualities that all human beings should have, yet men have a hard time of being considered manly when having these traits. Instead of neglecting the in-touch males, we should praise them and treat them with the same respect as others their age. The young men that fail to be ‘manly’ aren’t truly failing anything, manliness is a concept that we as humans made up to make people act a certain way, while the same goes with trying to make women be feminine. A solution to stop having young men self doubt themselves and turning into beasts of aggression is to stop labeling what gender is ‘supposed’ to be associated with that quality, and instead praise individuals as themselves and not on what gender they come…

My code of chivalry views on how men should treat women. Is pretty cut and dry because it all sorts back to on how you want to be treated. But most times guys don’t see it that way because they are girls and they can treat them different. Has the definition of feminism changed over the years, or has it become stagnant? Does the feminism people fight for today correlate with the feminism that Nathaniel Hawthorne witnessed? And finally, does his novel, The Scarlet Letter reflect feminist viewpoints in a positive manner, or masked misogyny? The general consensus is that The Scarlet Letter was written as a pro-feminist novel, seeing as Hester Prynne is considered one of the first feminist role models in American literature. Hester was outcasted in her Puritan community as an adulteress, tortured by her peers and adulterer, and seemingly confined by gender roles, but still prevailed in the end.…

According to the Oxford Dictionary, feminism is, “of, relating to, or advocating the rights and equality of women.” According to our society, feminism is described as a secondhand, self-proclaimed right that a few women believe to be true. And to be honest, are we really given any other definitions or examples to live and lead by? Women are still mercilessly attacked and criticized for what they wear, who they associate with, and most importantly, their sexual behaviors. This being criticism that a female’s male counterpart would not have to face.…
