High School stereotypes don't need to be accepted because everyone has a different personality which is not a bad thing. Stereotypes can drag down performance as researcher Min-Hsiung Huang recently decided to ask different type of men a simple question and all had different answers. Sociologist stated that this was happening because there was ‘race silent’ and which makes the other race feel that white are more superior than blacks. When reminded by a different race about your ethnicities average test scores it brings you down thinking you can't grow out of your stereotype and do better things in your life.

This may be true, however, I had twenty high school students take a survey on ‘’ who are smarter men or women.’’ there was an even number amount. One student who is in eleventh grade said this ‘’ no matter the race the gender or the color of skin everyone all should have the same chance given equally. In the article “Fairy Tales and Gender Stereotypes” by Samara Green , ‘’Both men and women have a tendency to make assumptions that women belong in specific types of jobs.(2)’’ this a common argument against women but women have the same capability to do the things some men do. In fact, you don't want to teach your children that women are weak and only used for cleaning and taking care of children. Women and men are being categorized into a specific job that leaves them with insecurities. This is what I see typically in my school campus. If you play sports like basketball, soccer, or football you are automatically put into a race category. For example, a high school student who plays soccer is Mexican, basketball is tall or black, football players need to take steroids to become strong. In the article ‘’ How a Self-fulling stereotype can drag down performance.’’ state that athletes have a lower performance on test scores due to having practice every day. A number of students took my survey and strongly disagree about that stereotype and said that ‘’ playing sports actually makes them feel energized to learn.
