In addition, the proposed study will feature elements of an evaluative study as it will be aimed at uncovering the representation of women through a popular children’s fairy tale. It will look at conducting a textual analysis of the Brothers Grimm narrative of Rapunzel as well as of Disney’s adaption, Tangled. No quantitative data will be used as the research conducted will be qualitative and speculative in nature. Ultimately, the aim of this study is not to provide conclusive, objective answers, but rather to provide valuable insight into the specific topic. For example, suggest how the character changes of Rapunzel in the specific adaptations link to society’s perception of women. Therefore, no interviews will be conducted, and no ethics clearance is needed for this
