If I were the Director of Development for the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum and I have to raise the $500,000 for the annual contribution, I would like to create a fundraising campaign. The fundraising campaign is an annual calendar project. From the above Timeline, the direct of Fairfax Station Railroad Museum would like to invite past donors and possible donors to join our project. Meanwhile, I would try my best to promote the project to the all possible visitors.
The project would be held on the first weekend of the November. In the first year, the project is called “The Place I Wish to Go.” It invites children to draw or paint a picture of their dream place, where they wish to go by train. Therefore, their parent can know where is their

Besides, many volunteers will attend the event to introduce the stories of the railroad, Civil War, and local history. The stories of the railroad and Civil War and local history are the treasure of the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum. Finally, the pictures made by the children will be printed on the calendars.
All the donors and participates will get a calendar which includes a lot of children’s pictures. In the December, the calendar will be sold in the gift shop and Amazon to attract more people to join the project. If the buyers would like to cost more money for the calendar, the money would be seen as a contribution to the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum.
For the amount money, I assume to gain $300,000 from the recent donors, because they are the donors who already have cared about the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum. They may more trust in the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum. Second, I expect to have $50,000 from the Friends of Fairfax Station Railroad Museum. Because the number of the money from each of them is less than $1,000 and most of them may be the visitors, I think the project has to do the best to reach out the all of the possible donors to get the money. Lastly, I believe that the Annual Calendar Project is a worthy education project for the children and family. The project can lead the Fairfax to develop a positive way in the arts culture as well as the education of the

Dating as far back as the Revolutionary War to the present day wars, the Katy Veterans Memorial Museum features many gems and antiques of our nation's combat history. Opened by former President George. H.W. Bush in 1996, the museum stands alone in Texas as the only museum to cover all American war conflicts. Created by a veterans association to honor veterans, the museum features artifacts, documents, flags, and clothing from the American Revolutionary War, The Spanish-American War, The Civil War, World War 1, World War 2, The Cold War, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, and so forth. The director and assistant director (whom I got to interview to obtain all of this information) put together the museum and decide what will go on display.…

My favorite hobby is collecting old paper money. Since I was a teenager, I remember starting to become an aficionado about old currency such as owning one, two, and a ten dollar bill from twenty years ago. The fading of the old ink from the paper makes me want to have it in my own personal collection. Because I like to collect old American money, my favorite American collection is ex-confederate currency from the nineteenth century. The Boston Athenaeum museum has a collection of over six thousand items of ex-confederate currency.…

The gym floor was covered in students dressed in blue and white, all chasing after a large beach ball. Their legs kicked up higher than their heads as the ball went back and forth along the top of the crowd. The students watching from the bleachers screamed at the top of their lungs hoping their team would score. This was crab-walk soccer, a game marking the start of the first ever Westbrook High School Color Games. Color Games is the Seeds of Peace Olympics, where campers are split into two teams that compete in every activity camp has to offer.…

Even without stepping into the museums themselves, an initial sense of what they are about can be felt. A waterwheel turns across Historic Tredegar, repurposed from Tredegar Iron Works that overlooks the James River. The Virginia Holocaust Museum provides a stark contrast as it blends in with other multi-story buildings in downtown Richmond, easy to overlook even with the parking lot that provides a sign for the museum. The museums both represent pivotal moments in history, whether specific to the United States or globally, provide a generally linear walkthrough throughout the events, and offer a variety of viewpoints. The Civil War museum at Historic Tredegar showcased the two sides that divided and united the United States—the Union and Confederacy, but another side historically neglected, the slaves, and to a lesser extent, women and children.…

Peggy Fischer and Peter Smith’s superordinate goal should be to donate an agreed upon amount of money to MCA that both parties feel comfortable with. Peter should not fee like he is donating too much money to MCA where he will feel financially strapped going forward and Peggy should feel like she received an appropriate settlement from the original pledge where MCA does not feel like it is in as bad of a financial position that it is now. This donation should also help with the construction of the new building, but maybe the new building plans are not as extravagant as they are now. MCA will still be able to build an amazing facility, but maybe it has a smaller library, no café, or special events area. The museum should build a facility…

Executive Summary Female students at Rutgers University often are neglected when looking for an open community of women to reach out or relate to. All women face problems such as the gender pay gap, student loans, reproductive rights, violence against women, LGBTQ rights, and women in leadership. These hardships are often looked over or silenced among society. Some assume, for example, that the pay gap exists because women choose to have lower-paying jobs.…
