Fahrenheit 451 Week 2 Individual Assignment

In the beginning of the semester I was unfamiliar with the many numbers of business report there are, and how important it is to properly prepare your documents. However, upon the final days of class I am proud to share how much I have learned. I now have the confidence to excel in my writing. Our textbook “Writing That Works”, became such a larger impact on my success in this class. After the countless research and assignments, I have found there two units I found most informative. Chapter 8, Writing E-mail, Memos, and Letters and Chapter 12 Writing Instruction. Both unit I found extremely enlightening. In this memo I will go into great details behind my thoughts of each unit.

Since all my emails are done for work and school, they are drafted almost the exact same way. I always looked at emails as a short quick note. Never realizing the boundaries of being unprofessional. In our text books page 281, figure 8-5 shows us an example of an inappropriate e-mail. Though I have never used some emoticons in an email, I have been a few of these mistake that are consider inappropriate. I have closed emails many times without a closing nor leaving a signature block. Our company gives us the option on using signature blocks. Every day we either give instructions or we are given instructions. Explaining task, a person is earlier when you are verbelling specking to that individual. However, if you had to leave stick instructions for a person to follow, I have personally learned it can be a little challenging. When performing a task, it is import to a clear understand if your job’s task. Therefore, it is extremely important to writing a very direct carefully worded instructions.
When writing instructions, I was familiar with how important detailing important is. The textbook stats on page 395, “to write effective instructions, you must first thoroughly understand the process, system, or device you are describing.” When describing a process, you can be as detailed as possible. The more you mention in your description the easier it will be for your audience to understand.
The career path I’m forces me to give set of clear direction every morning. However, I was unfamiliar with international readers. At my job everyone’s first language is English, so there was never a moment where I needed to consider the language differences when leaving instructions. Until about wo weeks ago I went out the country for work, to a Spanish specking country, the employees at the facility spoke very little English. I learn quickly I had to adjust my way of specking and writing so we could all get on the same
