Fahrenheit 451 Violence Quotes

No matter how big or how small it may be, everyone has a bone of violence in their body. Fahrenheit 451, a novel written by Ray Bradbury, goes through a series of events which include violence, family, censorship and more. Throughout the novel violence is a recurring problem and obstacle. The novel suggest that without knowledge and creativity, violence is the next best option. Bradbury shows this through his characters and how they express themselves, his warlike setting, and his dialogue. The characters in Fahrenheit 451, almost all have the same attitude. Books are bad, school is useless, and knowledge isn’t important. This relates to the theme of the story because not only do the characters believe this and have no creativity, they are very violent people. A quote from Clarisse, one of the “abnormal” characters in the novel states, “They kill each other… Six of my friends have been shot in the last year alone.
