The technology devices Bradbury describes in Fahrenheit 451 is his opinion about what the world will have in the future and it is the result of a society that is more proud of their technology than knowledge.
Firstly, a technology device Bradbury has replaced book with are called seashells. They are earpieces that are constantly used by Mildred (Montag’s wife) when she goes to sleep. People use these earphones constantly so they never have to think about anything. “And in her ears the little Seashells, the thimble radios tamped tight, and an electronic ocean of sound, of music and talk coming in, coming in on the shore of her unsleeping mind.”(pg.10) Another technology device in Fahrenheit 451 is parlour walls. They are big interactive T.V’s that are installed on walls, so it looks like a movie theater. Mildred is addicted to watching TV on the parlour walls.
