Let unravel some of the events that take you through the narrative structure of Fahrenheit 451. Fahrenheit 451 seems to be centered around an unidentified city, could be my city, and could be yours. A society that is set in a time where watch television and listen to music all day, as Mildred did. When they were angry they to their rides out for fast drives, so fast that the picture on the billboards where blurred. The people have no idea of feelings and only believe that they are happy, because someone tells them that they are. Montag, the main character of 451 is a fireman, who start fires to burn books, books that are illegal. I guess it is safe to say he is the protagonist in this story. And then you have Captain Beatty. He is the Captain of the fire house, in which Montag works. Captain Beatty is the antagonist of 451. The fireman’s job …show more content…
The climax is probably the most intense moment in the story. Hang off the edge of your seat type of stuff. The twist of the storyline happens when Montag realizes the Salamander has stopped at his house. Beatty want Montag to burn all the book in their house. After lots of anger being built up within Montag he finally snaps. He turns the fire hose on Beatty, kills him and knocks out the other two fireman. Oh yeah let not forget he took out that silly hound to. And he runs of leaving behind all the damage he has cause. A burnt alive Beatty. From this point everything all goes downhill, the story has reached the falling actions. Montag running away from the scene of his own fire, while being chased by helicopters and the mechanical hound. Montag realizes his chase has made the local broadcast, along with the war that was going on. Montag flees to Faber’s house, where he gets help to successful escape capture by the hound that is still at chase. He reaches scholar’s that accept him in there pack that like to talk about books. Montag and these scholars hope to rebuild
