Fahrenheit 451 Poster Analysis Essay

Throughout the novel, Bradbury wrote and explained that the People of Fahrenheit 451 did not think, but lived for thrills and excitement rather than for the quality of life. For example, throughout the story no one asked questions or was curious about anything happening in the society around them. But as they started to realize and understand their situation they felt themselves starting to feel empty inside. For example, the author wrote, “With school turning out more runners, jumpers, racers, thinkers, grabbers, snatchers, fliers, and swimmers instead of examiners, critics, knowers, and imaginative creators, the word intellectual of course, became the swear word it deserved to be.” This quote shows that because the lack of knowledge in the society, the world intellectual became a negative concept. Our poster represents our lesson because it shows how citizens would be different if they got to think freely. Our poster shows a person that is happy because they have the freedom of books, a good education, thinking freely and love. Oppose to that, there is a representation of a sad or empty person who cannot read books, cannot think freely, has Television for education, and truly isn’t happy. This person represents how Montag and the rest of society are dealing with life in the book.
