People will spend an absurd amount of money to watch mindless entertainment and will continue to spend more until they will find some sort of satisfaction somehow. F451 has great examples of mindless entertainment in the chapters of the book. Surprisingly it’s very similar to our society as well. In the book Montag’s wife, Mildred, asked for a fourth T.V wall installed in their house. “It’ll be even more fun when we can afford to have the fourth wall installed. How long you figure before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a fourth wall- TV put in? Technology is one the main reason people are losing touch in one another in person. People are focused in watching tv, internet videos, phone and/or other media. F451 has pages of this happening, in one instance Mildred goes to the parlor to talk to the “Family”. The family in that Mildred talk to are just voices and holograms in the parlor. She doesn’t actually talk to anyone at all but really to herself. It’s no different to us, we talk to machines to get what we want. Just like we can order food just through a device, like the amazon echo, sure it’s no hologram but it has it’s similarities. We can talk to it, interact with it and treat it like a person if one wanted to. Technology has become this advanced that we don’t require an actual person to talk to anymore if we really wanted to. We have become mindless people looking something to satisfy us so entertainment takes us over and forget on
