Is football as dangerous as the sport has been said to be? Football is a very dangerous sport for many reasons. The high speed collisions of the sport alone are dangerous enough to kill a player. The sport has been dangerous ever since the day that it was invented. In the book titled Fahrenheit 451, the characters do not value life. The characters crash cars and smash windows for fun, the society is very reckless and dangerous. Football would be a great pastime in this society because of the high speed collisions and the injuries that come with such big hits.
