Being self centered, robotic, and unfeeling is not shocking in this time of day. In the novel, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, is a self caring world. Society has made everyone careless people. First, Mildred is very self centered because of the society. She only cares about herself. In the text, Mildred says “ You should’ve gone two hours ago. I just noticed’, when she knew Montag wasn’t feeling well, she wanted him to go for her sake, not caring about how he feels.
