Hearing the undeniable sound of the TARDIS close by is what brings me out of my paralytic state. I quickly shove the paper into my pocket and sprint in search of that blue box which is so much bigger on the inside. While running in the direction that the noise came from, I notice that my surroundings are like a barren desert but not like any desert that I have seen. I begin to slow down to further take note of my new location but once I look up I notice something different and quite strange. There are no stars in the sky. I walk a little further and see the backs of three people, two male and one female, so I walk closer and hear one of them say,” All the stars have burnt up and faded away.” I stand next to them and say,” I was wondering …show more content…
The Doctor quite liked that and went on to say,” I wonder what would if I did this.” He points his sonic screwdriver at the control and flips the switch which kick-starts the entire system with the sirens blaring telling the passengers to prepare for boarding. The professor and his assistant were shocked at what the Doctor had done and when they asked how he did it; the Doctor responded with, “While we were chatting away I forgot to tell you, I’m brilliant.” With that said, the Doctor and Jack leaped into action and began to maneuver throughout the lab to assemble the final pieces into place for the rocket to fly but I noticed the Doctor had set Martha and the professor at certain stations to help but not me. I said,” Doctor! What about me? I can help. Trust me. I always want to help, so please, let me.” He looks at me as if staring into my soul and deciding on whether he can trust me or not. I give him a small smile and say,” I was born to help people. It’s in my genes. Don’t make me just stand here and not help these people reach their utopia.” His face turns sympathetic and says,” I know it is. Your eyes are so light and full of life. Help me with these wires and fit them into those …show more content…
Good luck.” I feel a chill around my legs so I look down and see my feet flickering in and out as if they’re disappearing and I realize that my time here is almost up. I move my feet and say,” Not until I’m done helping.” The Doctor asks,” Did you say something?” He’s looking at the controls and I shake my head and say,” Nope. Nothing.” The Doctor moves to the window of the door that looks into the radiation filled room that Jack is in and they begin to talk about how Jack figured out that he couldn’t die and how he became a fixed point in time. I stay behind a bit as I feel the chill slowly crawl up to my hips but then I hear Jack ask the Doctor,” Do you think she could change me back?” I look up quickly realizing that they were talking about Rose and I hear the Doctor say,” She’s gone. She’s not just living in a parallel world. She’s trapped there. The walls have closed.” I feel my whole body covered in the chill but I still say,” The walls can still be distorted.” The Doctor turns to look at me and his face turns into one of confusion as he sees my body begin to flicker but I say,” Doctor, she’s safe. You know that. Don’t beat yourself up about it.” I feel myself begin to disappear when I look at him with a big smile and

Men, women, and children lie on the streets, dead. Others just stood and looked not knowing what to do or what to say.…

While reading I was having a lot of trouble trying to relate to the characters in the book because there was no way for me to be able to walk a mile in their shoes. Eventually I gave up on trying to relate to them and decided I would do my best to imagine myself in that situation. During the holocaust there were many horrors and atrocities that almost make it unimaginable for anyone to believe let alone go through. I’m so used to our daily lives holding almost no trouble that I can’t really ever begin to know what it’s like to go through that. All I can say is what I would have done but when it comes to actually experiencing it I can’t say that I’ll be true to my words.…

“ Adele there’s a 72% chance that you could die. That doesn’t mean that will die, but that’s a really high risk and there’s nothing we could do to help you. But if you do survive we would have to put you on several medications, you’d have to see a psychiatrist every other day, and you’d be put in a mental hospital until you show signs of recovery. ” After saying all of that to me, the doctor got up and left me in that cold, bright, white room all by myself. I don’t know how to handle this much information all at once.…
