Fahrenheit 451, directed by Francois is a production based on Bradbury’s book. It is a futuristic novel where all books must be destroyed. This is where the fire department comes in since they burn books instead of put fires out. Montag, the main character starts to develop a lot of curiosity about books and society.
I do feel that Fahrenheit 451 is a satisfactory adaptation of the novel because, yes the spirit of the novel is preserved and the story lines are roughly the same, but when Francois moved some …show more content…
He portrayed himself as in the book, cold and “happy” at first and confused later on. As I have previously mentioned though, I would have like to see his character evolve as he starts to question society. Julie Christie on the other hand did a phenomenal job with her acting. She played a double roll as Linda and Clarisse, the 2 main women that Montag interacted with throughout the movie. The two things I did not like about Linda and Clarisse was that: Linda would always smoke and have pills, even though she got pumped and got healthier blood, she continued to do it, and so hair and makeup could have made her look a bit less healthy with some wrinkles and probably unhealthy dental care. The second thing that I didn’t like about Linda and Clarisse was that the only difference between their appearances was their hairdo. Maybe Linda could have had a bit more makeup on than
