In school kids sit down, listen, and our told what they are supposed to do, and are rewarded for it, in today's world people cannot get very far from listening to institutions. In Fahrenheit 451 Montag express how people are not being taught how to think, they are being taught what to think. This relates to modern day education because, the way school is run it requires no talking, no planning out your own schedule, your not going by your time your going by the teachers and the school, and then when the real world comes, kids don't know how to manage their time because they’ve never had any to manage. Let alone that children need to be able to talk to other kids, but considering teachers tell students, (especially is grade school), to not talk. This is harming their social skills which this could explain the reason why the percentage of anti-social kids is rising. The K–12 system stills runs like factory working, which was made for the early to 1900. A century ago, it made sense to adopt seat-time requirements for graduation and pay teachers based on their educational credentials and seniority. The factory model of school is the not right for the 21st century. Overall, (BRING BACK 451) School is not taught in a interesting way, and the way school is being run today, does not fit for the twenty-first century.
