“I’m not dead. It was a lie.” Montag stood in view of the TV crew in the heart of the city. Armed with microphones, boards, and video cameras, a band of men and women halted their work and took one collective glance at Montag. A man suited in a black shirt advanced forward. “It’s really you. They told us-” “What they told you was lies,” Montag explained, “A method to enforce themselves as an authority figure. As humans, you followed them as sheep, no matter if the herder was right or wrong.” A women came behind and opened her mouth. “And what is it to you? How does that justify the blood on your hands?” Montag gulped and admitted, “It’s my burden to share.” Another man exclaimed, “You’re a madman. Someone that goes around with this agenda, …show more content…
It’s like jumping into a cave without light to guide you.” More people shook their heads and shouted at the man. “The lunatic!” “Arrest him now!” Suddenly, a young man burst into the room and stared at the others, his breaths shallow and shaking. The conflict subsided.
“We’ve lost. We only have minutes. Minutes.” The man’s eyes showed a hint of bloodshot red, and beads of tears had started to plummet down his face.
A man questioned, “Minutes before what?” The radio still marched onwards in the background, static dominating most of it’s broadcast.
“The bombs. It’s over.” Montag and the others faced each other, their bodies stiff. Nobody said a word. The lights droned on. Throughout the room, staccato beats of sniffles and cries bit the air, breaking the ice cold silence. The radio echoed his exact words with a lifeless voice.
“Minutes left. How could they?” Montag’s eyes started to water. Mildred....
He resumed his posture and asked the crew, “The show’s still on, right? Tell

Today, I am going to teach you one important thing. It’s called thinking,” Montag gulped, “You might be thinking, ‘why thinking is dumb and useless’. I once thought that. But today, we’re going to play a little game with you all. Just stop and think of the person you love the most. Go to them. Tell you that you love them no matter what.” Far away, the faint sounds of an oncoming storm flew closer and closer. The others stood facing him, crying and smiling. They nodded at him. He continued, “But don’t be afraid. Be brave. Just remember, you have the greatest gift of all.” The jet planes increased in intensity, an apocalypse ready to take their world by storm. As I stared across the bullet-torn battlefield I wondered how I ended up here; hiding behind a crumbling wall, clutching my gun as though it were a lifeline. How the young kid I'd once been now bore a dirty, camouflage patterned uniform. There I was, contemplating my life in the middle of a battle. I shouldn't have been surprised when a hand suddenly shot out in front of my face and smacked me upside the head. It was so unexpected that I nearly stumbled out from behind the rubble and right into the bullet whizzing by.…

Throughout history, things such ethnic hierarchy, one-way assimilation, cultural pluralism, and group separatism have been factors that shaped ethnic relations. Throughout the movie Crash it was very apparent that there was quite a distance between the black and white community. A white officer was shown disrespecting both a black nurse, and black woman that he had performed a traffic stop on. In “Rez Life: An Indian’s Journey Through Reservation Life,” by David Treuer, there was also evidence of ethnic relations.…

It was a faint but sudden ringing that pounded the accused 's head with the repeated sounds of 'tick, tock. ' Covering his ears to block out the pungent noise, he found it to be the clock on the wall that slowly ticked time away. Meanwhile, Beethoven 's Symphony No. 7 in A Major hummed peacefully in the background. "As the 9 councilors of CATA, we unanimously charge you with treason for spreading rhetoric that does not promote the good of our society." Dressed in an aesthetic black robe that covered him from head to toe, he was a seasoned old man with a face weary from the toll of doing anything absolutely necessary for the good of the society.…

After growing restless and angry about the conversation he had heard, Montag burst out, “Oh God, the way they jabber about people and their own children and themselves and the way they talk about their husbands and the way they talk about war, dammit, I stand here and I can’t believe it!” (Bradbury 98). In other words, Montag was expressing his outrage and frustration at the content of the women’s conversation, due to the triviality and lack of actual meaning of the words that he had heard. He was knowingly breaking the law, risking everything he had, just to make those women see what he saw as the truth, that books contained meaning instead of being lifeless, and that it was the discussions the women held that lacked meaning. Montag also says to the women, “Go home and think how it all happened and what did you ever do to stop it?…
