A human needs nutrients to do all of the average activities in a person 's daily life, such as walking, thinking, and focusing. Nutrients keep a person 's body going, and keeps the person looking healthy. Certain fad diets require the consumer to starve themselves and/or eat only one kind of food. The most popular fad diet require the consumer to eat only grilled chicken and asparagus. Although this will method will guarantee the consumer to lose weight drastically, grilled chicken and asparagus do not hold all of the nutrients that a person needs every day. The meal has barely any calcium, vitamin a, fiber, carbohydrates or iron. In order to feel great and your body being healthy, it is key to have those nutrients daily. There is no fad diet out there that requires you to have carbohydrates. “Carbohydrates are a significant source of energy and depriving yourself of these nutrients can cause a person to feel fatigued and unable to function normally. (Fitday). When a human takes in carbohydrates, the body converts it into energy, but when that energy is not used, the energy gets converted into fat. This “diet” is one of the worst of all the fad diets. The liquid only diet requires the consumer to only drink liquids for periods that can be more than two weeks. These liquids can be a mixture of sugary syrups and fruits all mixed into a jar. If a person only drinks liquid for weeks without eating any solid foods, then the body will go into starvation mode, and will start to deprive itself of nutrition. Most people that participate in liquid only diets experience little to no energy, depression, and nausea. During the liquid only diet, the person will experience dramatic weight loss, mostly due to losing water weight. Once the consumer completes the liquid only diet, then the weight will be added onto the person easier and faster than ever
