They hook people by using their commercials and website promotions. On the commercials they are telling people by eating per cooked and prepackage food that they will lose weight. The truth is nutrisystem is nothing but, microwavable dinners that you heat up and eat. The website has a good objective on how to eat to lose the weight but, the food there selling is not healthy. It a fad diet because, it promises people dramatic weight loss in a short period of time. The issue with this that losing weight in a rapidly is extremely dangerous for your health. On the website home page its states that you will lose five pounds in one week on their fast five plan. Nutrition guidelines state you are only supposed to lose one to two pounds per week. When I was reviewing the website to see how the diet work came across the correct weight loss information at the bottom of the page. Clearly the advertisers knew by putting the fast five weight loss plan on the homepage was going to grab the consumer attention. Once the customer say that they could lose five pounds in a week they were not going to search for the correct information on the How it works page. I believe that the information was place on the website so no lawsuits would not be place if the consumer did not lose as much weight as expected.
