Factory Food Research Paper

According to Marian Burros, “ Many Americans are not getting clear information on how the foods they choose affect their health.” (Burros). Many people don’t have a clue about what is in there food, and what the farmers put into the animal to make us have the food that we have. We should stop the way meats are getting processed, by what the corporations give the animals and how they’re killing them. The conditions of how the animals are raised and could possibly get us sick or kill us.
There is a lot of history from when they did things back then and how they do things now. In 1950 the factory farmers first used antibiotics to give the animals more body fat (Farm Stationary). Back then they didn’t use too much of it to get anybody sick but they still used it. In the late 1900s the United States made new food rules. Violent diseases go into our food from the animals, which transfer to us when we eat it such as healthy food or eats. Since factory farms can’t recycle the manure it causes akir of pollution which is harming us and the animals. Salmonella bone illness. Many people in the world were getting sick by salmonella because it’s in hens and other animals, so they have to vaccinate them. The american regulators were not sure if vaccinating the hens would keep sicknesses away. The American Regulators decided that if humans would get sick off of eggs again then eggs would cost less than a dollar. Factory farms are giving animals antibiotics to make them grow faster. “ 70% of the antibiotics used in the U.S. are given to for animals for non- therapeutic purposes.
