Australia's Impact On Global Warming

PART A-
Global warming is the term we use for the gradual increase in the average temperature at the Earth’s surface that has occurred over the past century or so. There are a number of factors that cause global warming, for example climate change, melting glaciers and rising sea levels are all consequences of global warming. Climate change can occur over a number of years, so if there is a large increase in the number of hot summers, this is most likely a sign of climate change. If a pattern keeps occurring it may start to impact on other places in the world. The scientific concepts that are related to global warming are that the increase of global temperature have cause a number of other changes around the world. For example the loss of

In order for Australia to cut down their impact on global warming, they need to reduce the amount of carbon pollution by at least 25% in t next 4 years and 90% in the next 34 years. Another way that Australia can limit the amount of global warming is if a price on carbon is increased and maintained. The last way I believe that Australia can cut down on their impact on global warming is but stopping the amount of coal exports that are carried out. Coal exports not only have major contribution to the effects of global warming but it will also ensure that the economy competitiveness in the emerging global clean energy is still …show more content…

David Newell English 102 Butler A Public Turn One definition of climate change is any “lasting changes to a region’s climate, such as differences in average temperature, precipitation, or wind patterns over the course of decades or centuries”. Global warming, however, generally refers to the climatic changes induced by human activity since industrialization (Newell). Climate change has always existed, but until recently it has been a natural process, affected by many factors including solar output, volcanic activity, feedback systems, and Earth’s axis, composition, and reflectivity. Throughout the history of the Earth these factors have influenced ecosystems tremendously, changing oceans to deserts to mountains (“Causes..”). Over the last…

The evidence includes the increasing global temperature and also the rising sea level. There are several issues that cause global warming, but one of the biggest is the greenhouse effect. According to the IPCC, the greenhouse effect is when greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide, are trapped in the atmosphere causing heat. Greenhouse gases have drastically increased due to factory farms and automobiles. Factory farms burn fossil…

(Shuster, 583) One of the most common greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide. When too much heat is absorbed, the atmosphere of the earth begins to warm. This may lead to global warming. Global warming is defined as "an overall increase in the earth 's average temperature." (Shuster, 584) Global warming can lead to problems that affect the land on which we live.…

Bob Tisdale, writer of a blog on informative climate change issues, has tried to inform his readers of the belief, held by many, that global warming and the warming of oceans is caused by the El Nino and La Nina cycles. El Nino is a heavy ocean heat and sea surface temperature mainly in the oceans near the equator, in the Atlantic. La Nina is the opposite with a low heat and sea temperature. El Nino and La Nina are created alternately every few years which causes changes in temperature, precipitation, and atmosphere circulation throughout the globe. This type of weather phenomenon plays a major role in the varying condition of the Earth, known as global warming.…
