The most important aspect I learned through sports, is that the rival team – often considered as ‘the enemy’ – is composed of human beings, just like me and the other girls in the team. The only difference amongst us was the color of our jerseys and the school we were playing for. This further reinstated the values of sympathy and respect toward the other girls in the opposite team. Moreover, when anybody got injured, either from my team or the opposite team, we would sympathize with each other. Part of my moral framework revolves around the notion that we are all equal human beings, with only distinct characteristics that may set us apart. Consequently, this allows me to become less vulnerable of sliding into a situation of tribalism between two groups. Furthermore, due to the exposure to many circumstances in which a problem eroded because of a bad handling of information, I have learned to question sources and arguments. Hence, reducing my vulnerability of sliding into a belief
