Furthermore, it was a decade-long period of political and social chaos, which caused by Mao Zedong’s order, to use the Chinese masses to reassert his control over the Communist Party(Phillips, 2016).

It talked about Hai Rui who was a Ming time official, thrown into jail for criticizing the emperor. After the Great Leap Forward had failed, Mao Zedong was criticised by Defense Minister Peng Dehuai, at last dismissed from the office in 1959. The first performance was in 1961, the theatre play became an instrument to attack to the right-wing pragmatists in the politburo by the Gang of Four in 1965, and then Wu Han was one of the first victims of the Cultural Revolution and died in prison in 1969.
About the conflict between Mao and other CPC leaders, after the failure of Great Leap Forward, Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaoping believed that the provision of the incentive was important for economic recovery. So that, China should use the Soviet political and economic model and allow the rise of elite class of scientists, managers, engineers and technicians for stimulating industrial growth. However, Mao disagreed that the rise of an elite to recover the economy which against socialist ideas, so to opposed the readjustment policies. Also, he argued for more collective work and large construction schemes. Furthermore, Mao thought that existed a capitalist headquarters led by Liu Shaoqi in CPC. Moreover, Mao's leadership and public perceptions of his leadership was the subject of respect and adoration. Meantime, as this personality cult intensified, Mao's power was over the party and his control of China was increased. Moreover, "Little Red Book" which included Mao's speech and his political ideology. Also, Mao ordered the soldiers to read it and to spread Mao's ideas to every part of China.
About launching mass movement from the bottom, Mao hoped to create a society where everyone was equal, so to lead the people back to the true socialist path. Also, he hoped to help him get rid of rival leader from Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaoping, and to get back the control of the leadership which he had lost through the mass
