Many different enviormental factors can impact Applebaum Trucking in the next five years. The economic environment can have an impact on this company. A rise or fall of the general economy will have an impact on the demand for shipping of products, which will impact the trucking industry (Cannon, et al., 2015, p.70). Advances in technology can have an impact on the company. This would be the technological environment, so any advances in the manufacturing trucks could give the company more efficient means to transport goods. This could give Applebaum Trucking an upper hand in transporting goods if they advance their vehicles technology or vice versa. Political environments can also impact this company. Changes in nationalism can impact …show more content…
The consequences of changing these factors depends on how it is altered. A cultural and social environment change that increases consumer purchasing would have a positive impact on the company because more goods would need to be transported. On the other hand if a cultural and social environment change that reduces consumer purchasing would have a negative impact on the company because there would be a decrease in the demand of products that need to be transported. If the economic environment change stimulates the economy this will have a positive effect. A stimulated economy leads to increase spending, increase in product demand, increase in hiring, which leads to an increase in demand of goods being transported. If something happens such as a recession the demand for goods being transported declines because consumers are not spending at high rates. A political environment change have positive consequences if it aids in the movement of products or increases the company’s relationships with the federal government. But, a change in a political environment could be detrimental to this company. It could cause the already created ties between the company and the federal government to be
