Introduction
Student jobs have become a sort of trend among students around the world, who wants to be a working while they are studying. In short, the term that suits this trend is ‘Earn and Learn ‘ policy. Other reasons why student jobs are popular among students are they help to cope up with the constant increase in tuition fees, and a way to afford further educations. The problem has been developed with the question as to how the corresponding workloads and required working hours of working students affect their academic performance at EARIST. The conceptual framework serves as a guide in conducting this study. It explains the phenomenon upon which the thesis investigation hopes to fill the vacuum in the stream of knowledge. It was the frame and foundation that provided the basis upon which the data is derived. Academic performance of college student is evidently seen in their grades given by their instructors at the end of the semester. The grade of the students will show whether their performance is excellent, above average, average, below average or poor. The researchers use the input- process –output method as an aid in the completion of the study. The three blocks or phase of this model are as follows. First the input block pertained the profile of the respondents. The second phase is the process block covered the questionnaires, data gathering, analysis, evaluation and interpretation of data.
