FIRO-B Assessment: Motivation And Affection

I found FIRO-B assessment to be a very purposeful and functional, which I can use in my everyday life to measure how I interact with my team members. Moreover, this instrument is an aid to comprehend how we utilize inclusion, control and affection. Also, the value it holds is a great asset for our interpersonal needs to drive our behavior as leaders. I would deploy it to shape my ability to build trust, influence others and create stronger relationships with others. I'm mindful of some things may be general; however they can be maneuvered to motivate myself as I become more self-aware of myself. In addition, FIRO-B helped me to come to terms with how much affection I truly desire towards me, which I have been in denial and unable to accept …show more content…
I was very keen, though in learning about myself by doing the in class FIRO-B activities and the profile. Affection is one area that I am hesitant to express, but I know I do feel it towards others. Therefore, it comforts me to know myself better by putting myself in a better position to serve others.
The high score for inclusion for both wanted and affection has been contrary to what in fact I thought of myself. My somewhat medium score for the control has me acknowledge this assessment even more as it is fascinating to know my inner self more to try to lead others in the way they deserve.
Although, I realize that as an introvert side of me, I'm very reluctant to share this information that I feel is very personal and private, but at the same time I also gain new insights into others when they share theirs. It supports me to understand and learn that I'm not far-out, merely different from others, which is not necessarily detrimental in any way. Further, this assessment has certainly added value to reflect on myself and apprehend the differences of others, while giving me another perspective into my own personality to keep in mind that many times we don't give a chance to identify with ourselves, let alone others. However, I do not expect these results to be one hundred percent accurate as in any assessment of this
