Being a mediator allows me to be a silent leader for the reason that I can lead people while they feel like they are a leader as well. One day the vice president and I were discussing what fundraiser we were going to do, when we were going to do it and how much money we wanted to raise. However, the vice president I could not come up with a consensus on what to do because our ideas clashed. To solve our conflicting ideas, I first used my written and oral and communication skills to generate a list of our ideas. Then I reasoned with my fellow chapter member to eliminate her ideas that may have seemed unrealistic and would not possibly work in the time frame we had, and I did the same. Due to the process that I used to solve the conflict, the vice president and I agreed on how to raise money for the March of Dime. As a result, we raised over five hundred dollars to be donated.
