Why did Dr. Hamden L. Forkner establishes the concept of FBLA in 1937 at Columbia University? Why did he go through the process to forge a club that is now the largest career student business organization in the world? Why have over 230,000 chosen to join this club and better prepare themselves for a career in business? I think it’s because Dr. Forkner was looking towards the future, and he saw future men and women that can, and will, be very successful in the realm of business. FBLA’s mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.With that being said, FBLA has been successful for about 75 years now, with Big names like Bill Clinton, Bill and Melinda Gates, and even NBA star Lebron James. The young adults that participate in FBLA sign up for furthering their walk of leadership and business.

I have developed actual feelings and the urgency to help others in need. This program can produce more business leaders if members open up opportunities for them. Everyone deserves a shot at success. Everyone has untapped potential that may need a little help to reach. Everyone can be a leader in whatever they choose. This organization has opened up potential inside of me. I can still remember the boy that thought he wouldn´t be on a stage, presenting a speech to others. I wouldn't be serving my community and affecting the attitude of others around me. Without FBLA. I would be on the wrong path and not knowing what I wanted to do with my life. I know there are others that can turn out to be great business leaders of America. So, let's do it. Let's go and find the Future Business Leaders of America. Let's become a better organization together. Let's continue to grow in numbers and broaden our horizons. Let's work to become better,
