Novel: the American Object From the beginning, America has been all about creativity and the weaving of tales. From the manipulation of the Boston Massacre, to famous documents like the Constitution, and speeches such I Have a Dream and the Gettysburg Address. It is not present in just famous examples, however. This creativity can be seen in tall tales carried by mouth and hoaxes in newspapers, magazines and journals. One of the most popular forms of this creativity has been in the written media, ranging in form from articles and novels to the eventual combination of graphics and text to modern graphic novels and comic books.
