Ezra Violent Behavior Case Study

This investigation was surrounded around the child Ezra. It was reported that the mother was unable to address the child’s Ezra aggressive behavior in the home. The mother allowed Ezra to beat and bite his 15 year old girlfriend who resided in her home.
During this investigation Freddie reported that they all witnessed DV in the home for over 10 years and Ezra Sr. beat the mother every chance he got. Freddie further reported the Ezra Jr. is just as his father as he is always beating his girlfriend up. Freddie reported that Ezra was in a detention center in Lincoln Hall for 12 months for selling drugs. The child was also arrested for pulling a knife on five year old Demetri Williams. (Freddie’s girlfriend son)
Adult sibling Felicia was spoken with who reported that the child Ezra has anger issued and that the mother Ms. Cook has no control over the home.

The mother reported that she was aware of Ezra Violent behavior. The mother shared that Ezra Sr. physically abused her in the present of Ezra Jr and feels that it’s a pattern and Ezra feels it is ok to hit females. The mother stated that she had no contact with the father over a year however during the course of the investigation Ezra moved back into the home and threated to kill the child Ezra Jr because of his behavior.
A subsequent reported (10/19/10) was received as a result. During the home visit the father was observed to be intoxicated. The assigned CPS offered to escort the mother and the children out of the home however the mother refused. An emergency removal was conducted and the children Aaliyah and Isaiah was placed in kinship foster care with Amy Cook (adult sibling).
An article ten petition was filed on 10/22/10 naming the father Ezra Cook Sr as the respondent. The children was release to the mother with COS and OOP against the father excluding him from the home and to stay away from the mother and the
