In 2014, Zeke took over as starter and made a huge impact by his phenomenal performance. During that season, Zeke was named to the Academic All-Big Ten Conference team. In six games, he rushed for over 100 yards in the season. In the 2014 Big Ten Championship Game against the Wisconsin Badgers, Elliott ran for 220 yards on 20 carries for two touchdowns. This win would be the first time that the Ohio State Buckeyes would ever qualify for college playoffs. In the 2015 Sugar Bowl, which was against the topped ranked team, Alabama, he ran for 230 yards with 20 carries. Zeke and his team fought hard and came up with the win 42-35, Zeke was named the offensive player of the game. He then lead the buckeyes to a win over the Oregon Ducks with 246 yards and 36 carries in that game to end their championship season. He was named offensive MVP in that game and had the 3rd most rushing yards in a game by a player in Ohio history. In 2015 he rushed for 100+ yards in every game he played that season but an impressive game that he had was against Indiana where he rushed for 274 yards but the buckeyes could not win that game, they came up with a tough loss of 14-17 against them. In that game against Indiana, Zeke ran for the 2nd most that an Ohio State player has ever ran for. The next week after the loss to Indiana, Zeke announced that he was entering the 2016 NFL draft. And the week after the announcement, he ran 30 times for 214 yards. They won that game against Michigan 42-13 and that was Zeke’s fifth game that he rushed for over 200 yards.
