Through the insight he has gained working as a prison psychiatrist, Dr. Dalrymple has been able to find the answers to the questions that occupied his mind for the past fourteen years” why do people commit evil, what conditions allow it to flourish, how it is best prevented?”…
Danielle Mullins H English 12-4 11/12/15 “All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace” While first reading Richard Brautigan’s “All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace” readers may not see between the lines, but when the underlying message is coherent, Brautigan’s abstract work, and the events that shaped his life illustrate the poem. The message of Brautigan’s poetry will captivate the reader and allow better understanding of Brautigan’s life and reasoning. Richard Bruatigan was a master of poetry, words, and life. Brautigan was known to be seen walking the Berkley streets in the late 1960s. Brautigan’s work is the connection between the two decades- the late 1950s, and 1960s; intertwining the modern period into post-modern…
Columnist Gregory Rodriguez has written about things such as immigration, political issues, as well as rumors. In “Truth is in the Ear of the Beholder” he discusses why people believe rumors for many reasons from trying to make themselves feel better, wanting it to be true and making sense of the world around them. Rumors can happen to anyone, including the President of the United States, usually very controversial, but that doesn’t prevent rumors from being told or believed. While he brings legitimate points to his argument to persuade readers there are also some fault in them as well. Rumors are processed differently as people hear them because of their own desires.…

The Real, the Bad, and the Ugly by Cassie Heidecker is an interesting example of analyzing the reality TV epidemic and in addition to the people that view it. The author starts out by listing things that go into a reality TV production and things that happen in real life in order to state that these are two different things despite the idea that reality TV is supposed to be “real”. The mundanity of real life is emphasised here vs. the idea that reality TV is scripted and has a lot of extra work put into it to make reality TV more appealing to a broader audience. The author goes on to say that real life is boring which I thought was funny and a little ironic considering that later the author mentions that she is somebody who sets aside time…
In the last Chapter, Rachels discusses the creation of a "Satisfactory Moral Theory”, in this paper I will discuss my own creation of the Satisfactory Moral Theory. The moral theories are supposed to help us decide what are the right and wrong actions, but, not all the moral theories are perfect. We may feel that a certain conclusion to a problem is fair or unfair, but what theory do we use to make judgments?. I will start with the cultural relativism theory, to understand different cultures, There is a need to know that one community’s beliefs and practices are not usually the same as the other community. In fact, cultural relativism seems the most applicable approach to be taken on for communications purposes.…

Having the operation was not the girl’s idea, it was the man who deiced to do so.…

Along with showing us the struggles of Michael, Hancock also wants to abolish the notion towards white Americans by using the Tuhoy family as his prime example. He shows how the Tuhoy’s accepted Michael and all of his past experiences for who he is as a person and what he aspires to be.…
